Enhancing packaging in several ways.

Lamination Film Manufacturers and Suppliers in India

Ecoplast Ltd. is one of the biggest lamination film suppliers in the country today. In many flexible packaging applications, a single material may not be sufficient to meet all of the product’s requirements. In certain instances, a composite made up of two or more layers of material may be able to achieve the desired results. Laminating various polymeric films to other films, foils, papers, and so on with a polymeric adhesion agent is a popular way to make such a composite.

This manufacturing method is frequently used in the packaging business, where end-products must have multi-functional features such as high tensile strength and gas permeability. Barrier films are what they’re called in the industry. Due to the nature of the application, the laminate construction can become quite sophisticated.

A multi-layer composite including polyester/polyethylene/metal foil/polyethylene, for example, is a common laminate used in the medical packaging business.

Without current adhesive technologies, the variety of modern flexible packaging options available today would not be feasible. The development of new adhesive materials and production processes has closely mirrored the evolution of the packaging sector. These trends have resulted in consumer demand for high-quality, technically difficult package constructions.

The physical and chemical properties of the substrate will have an impact on the adhesive and coating procedure that is used. Papers, foils, and films are the three primary types of substrates used in the production of flexible packaging. Due to their light weight, robustness, ease of disposal, and low cost, films are quickly becoming the most popular material.

Common polymeric films that are used in flexible packaging are:

  • High and low density polyethylene
  • Linear low density polyethylene
  • Cast and oriented polypropylene
  • Ethylene-vinyl acetate
  • Polyvinyl chloride
  • Cellulose (plain and coated)
  • Cast and oriented polyamide (nylon)
  • Polyester
  • Metallized film
  • Coated (polyvinylidene chloride or acrylic) film

Depending on the packaging system, multilayer polyethylene and co-polymer films are laminated to one or more substrates, such as polyester film or polypropylene film, and are frequently combined with aluminium foil and/or paper. The Heat Seal Layer of the laminate, which is in touch with the product, is formed by the multi layer film. The level of crystallinity and orientation, as well as the resulting film properties, are determined by the polymer, equipment, and process variables in a multilayer film.

A multilayer film structure’s design is based on pre-set performance characteristics like:

  • Compatibility between the film and the product
  • The lamination procedure
  • On the packaging line, machinability is important
  • Heat seal features that are compatible with the packaging line’s needs
  • Conditions for storage (shelf life), handling, and transportation

The films have been specially adapted for high-speed lamination and have excellent anti-static qualities. The films also have strong adhesive anchoring, resulting in great paper bonding.

C4 Grade Lamination Film – EcoGen™  100 – A

ECOGEN 100 – A is a C4 grade Lamination PE film used in packaging of various FMCG products such as food, beverages,
cosmetics, personal care, and hygiene products. It can be laminated to one or more substrates, such as PET/ BOPP/
Aluminium Foil/ Paper (to name a few), depending upon the packaging system and the product to be packed. Our
multilayer PE film forms the innermost layer – the heat seal layer – of the laminate, which is in contact with the packed
product.
